Is the “Heavy-Lifting” of Real Estate Marketing Slowing Your Down?

04 March 2020

Imagine you want to build a deck for your backyard. You could do it all on your own — securing the posts, cutting the boards and rails, putting it all together. But even if you enjoyed that kind of work, the project would take several  weekends… weekends you could be spending on other, more enjoyable activities.

Another option would be to get the deck done for you by a company with an exceptional track record. That way, you can reap the benefits of a beautiful new deck, sooner.

When it comes to generating and converting real estate agent leads and referrals with your real estate marketing, you have a similar choice.

You can do all the work on your own —perhaps with the help of a few real estate marketing services for bits and pieces, such as social media posts. Or, you can get all the “heavy lifting” of your marketing done for you.

The problem with the first option is that it slows you down. Doing all that “heavy lifting” — writing blog posts, preparing direct mail and email newsletters, staying in touch in other ways — eats up a lot of hours. That’s time you could be spending doing the things that really accelerate your career, like following up on real estate leads, meeting prospects and selling homes.

You need great real estate marketing. But you also need more time. And marketing activities can chew up time faster than a puppy with a plush toy.

Another drawback to the DIY approach is you’re never entirely sure you’re doing it right. Could you be getting more leads and real estate referrals?

So, what’s the solution? How do you ensure your real estate marketing is firing on all cylinders, while at the same time not be bogged down in endless marketing tasks?

The best way is to use effective done-for-you real estate marketing systems. Systems is the operative word here, because you don’t want to juggle services that only give you pieces of the puzzle. You want a complete system that has all the pieces, and is designed to get you the desired result. For example:

  • A system for getting more referrals from previous clients.
  • A system for generating leads from your real estate geographic farm.
  • A system for converting leads into clients.

When you have one or more systems like those humming in the background, your business moves faster towards your goals. You have more confidence that your real estate marketing is working hard for you (instead of you working hard for it!)
